What is the ruling on posting romantic pictures, such as a man holding a woman's hand, and is this unlawful?

It is not permissible to possess or look at pictures of a man's hand and a woman's hand, especially if the woman's hand extends beyond her palm, because this leads to temptation and arouses desires. Islamic Sharia prohibits anything that leads to forbidden acts. Photographic depiction of women is forbidden by many contemporary scholars due to the corruption it causes. Furthermore, these practices may be an imitation of non-Muslims, which the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, warned against.
