Why is the wrongdoer held accountable if calamities are predestined and inscribed in God's knowledge before they occur?

The wrongdoer is held accountable for their wrongdoing because they committed it by their will, desire, and choice. This does not contradict God's eternal knowledge. The People of the Sunnah and the Community affirm that the servant has free-will actions and that God is the Creator of everything, including the servant's ability and will. The servant acts by their choice, with the ability and will that God created in them, and is rewarded or punished for their action. God creates for the servant an ability and a will, then directs the servant's ability and will towards what His knowledge has already preceded, so the servant comes obediently, willingly, and not compelled. Delving deeply into the secret of divine preordainment is a pretext for failure.
