Does God answer a mother's prayer against her son, that he be afflicted with blindness, if he repeats a certain action?

The supplication of a mother against her disobedient child is answered. Some scholars have restricted this to cases where the child is an infidel or extremely disobedient, while noting that such a supplication is impermissible. If the supplication is made in a moment of anger and distress without intent, it is not answered, based on the Almighty's saying: "And if Allah were to hasten for the people the evil [they invoke] as He hastens for them the good, their term would have been concluded." It is advisable to repent to Allah, seek forgiveness from the mother, honor her, and obey her in matters that do not involve disobedience to Allah.
