Is a mother's prayer against her son answered, even if the son is dutiful to his parents and his mother is trying to make him see God's will concerning him?

You must strive to honor your mother, obey her, and be good to her. Be patient with her harm and shortcomings, and avoid everything that provokes her anger. It is not permissible for a mother to curse her children or prefer one over another; she must be just between them. If she supplicates in anger, her supplication will not be answered. We ask Allah to rectify the mother's condition and help the daughter in honoring her.
