The meaning of "Guide us to the straight path" is: Grant us steadfastness upon what You have approved of in word and deed, believing in the messengers, adhering to the Book, acting upon what Allah has commanded, and following the methodology of the Prophet (peace be upon him), his rightly guided caliphs, and every righteous servant.
