What is the ruling regarding a wife who despises her husband and is unable to live with him and obey him due to his ill-treatment of her, and she desires a divorce from him, but her family and husband refuse, while she fears the wrath of her parents and disobedience to Allah?

A woman is permitted to seek divorce from her husband to avert harm from herself. She is not obligated to obey her parents in remaining with him, and she must convince her parents of her situation. However, if she endures with him and prefers to please her parents, that would bring her a greater reward, especially if she has children with him. She is obligated to obey him in what is good and permissible.
