What is your advice to the wife who treats her husband as an equal, and is it permissible for the husband to divorce her if she insists on doing so?

A wife's obedience to her husband in what is customary is obligatory, and her disobedience to his command is an act of defiance (ma'siyah). Thus, she must repent and fear Allah. The husband is advised not to rush into divorce, but rather to pursue the legitimate means of addressing dis

obedience (nushuz), because divorce is the last resort. She might dislike one trait but approve of another, as stated in the Hadith. The husband should strive to connect his wife with righteous women so that she may learn and acquire good character.
