The answer

It is not permissible to delay the prayer beyond its legally prescribed time, for Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a book [to be observed at] fixed times." Delaying it is a sign of hypocrisy, especially Fajr and 'Isha' prayers. The Fajr prayer holds special significance, and some scholars have gone so far as to say that it is the middle prayer. A Muslim must take measures to wake up for it, and if he does not wake up, he should pray it as soon as he wakes up, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If one of you oversleeps or is heedless of the prayer, he should pray it when he remembers it."
