The answer

It is desirable for a Muslim to give charity daily, even if it is a small amount, in accordance with the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "There is no day upon which people wake that two angels do not descend, and one of them says: 'O Allah, grant compensation to the one who spends,' and the other says: 'O Allah, grant destruction to the one who withholds.'" All obligatory and recommended expenditures, such as spending on family, guests, and zakat, are included in the praiseworthy spending. As for the blameworthy withholding, it is withholding from these acts of obedience.
