Does the ruling of not touching the Mushaf except with wudu' apply to individual verses, books of Tafsir, or books of Sirah?

It is not permissible for a person in a state of minor ritual impurity (muhdith) to touch individual verses (ayat) because they carry the same ruling as the mushaf (the physical copy of the Quran). However, if other texts are written along with the verses, such as in books of tafsir (exegesis) or fiqh (jurisprudence), then the ruling is based on the majority. If the Quranic content is greater, it is forbidden to touch it without ablution. But if the non-Quranic content is greater, it is permissible to touch it. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: "Whatever contains some Quranic verses, its ruling is that of the mushaf if it is isolated. But if other texts are written along with the Quran, then the ruling is for the majority. Thus, it is permissible to touch books of tafsir, hadith, fiqh, and epistles that contain some Quran."
