Is it permissible to visit graves out of love for their occupants?

Visiting graves is permissible out of love for their occupants, provided it does not involve prohibited matters such as seeking aid from the deceased. The basic ruling concerning it is permissibility or recommendation, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, visited his mother's grave and permitted visiting graves because it reminds one of death, and the visitor may supplicate for the deceased and benefit from their supplication.
