What is the meaning of Allah Almighty singling out some of His servants for the benefit of people, such that if they withhold these benefits, Allah diverts them to others? And what is the Shar'i criterion for serving people versus not serving them, especially when some request personal services that depend on the effort of the one being asked, taking into consideration the distance and the well-being of those requesting the service?

Weak hadiths, some of which have been hassan (deemed good) due to multiple chains of transmission, state that Allah has chosen certain people and bestowed blessings upon them for the benefit of His servants. He keeps these blessings with them as long as they dispense them, but if they withhold them, He takes them away and transfers them to others. They also indicate that blessings are prone to vanish if the blessed individual becomes weary of people's needs.

Therefore, the wise person is one who perpetuates blessings through gratitude and giving to the deserving. Serving people is a commendable good deed, and its doer is on a path of goodness. Allah helps His servant as long as the servant helps his brother. The reward increases if one endures mistreatment from those to whom he has shown kindness. The believer who mixes with people and patiently endures their harm receives a greater reward. Mistreatment should not deter one from doing good. Among the most virtuous deeds are reconnecting with those who cut you off, doing good to those who harm you, and turning away from those who oppress you.
