The question

Who are the servants whom Allah has singled out for fulfilling people's needs, as mentioned in the Hadith: "Indeed, Allah has servants whom He has singled out for fulfilling people's needs; He has made them beloved to goodness, and made goodness beloved to them. Those are the secure from Allah's punishment on the Day of Resurrection"?

The answer

The aforementioned Hadith is weak, and there are no servants whom Allah has specifically designated for fulfilling people's needs. However, there is great encouragement in striving to fulfill people's needs. For whoever is in the need of his brother, Allah will be in his need. And whoever relieves a Muslim of a distress, Allah will relieve him of a distress on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever strives to fulfill people's needs hoping for reward, Allah will make it easy for him, and his striving will be a cause for his security on the Day of Resurrection if he intends thereby the Face of Allah.
