Supplication (Du'a) is obligatory in general terms, and it is viewed from two perspectives:

The first: The holistic perspective: It is not permissible for a Muslim to go through their entire life without turning to Allah in supplication, because the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever does not ask Allah, He will be angry with him."

The second: The specific perspective: It is recommended from this aspect for a person to make abundant supplications, due to the Almighty’s saying: {And your Lord said, "Call upon Me; I will respond to you." Indeed, those who disdain My worship will enter Hell [rendered] contemptible}.
