Is it permissible to supplicate excessively for everything, such as Allah's enabling of the purchase of a certain item or the learning of something new, and enabling many matters throughout the day?

It is legislated for a Muslim to frequently ask Allah Almighty and supplicate to Him for the facilitation of all their affairs, major and minor. This is because Allah loves for His servants to ask Him for all their needs, even the simplest, such as salt and a shoelace. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded us to do so, for it is an act of worship, about which he said: "Du'a (supplication) is worship."
