Is an accident a warning from God to a person?

Everything that Allah decrees, He decrees for great wisdom and benefits. It may be a trial to elevate one's ranks or a warning. Whoever is afflicted by an accident should receive it with patience, submission, contentment, and seeking reward from Allah, and know that Allah's decree is good and that it will have a good outcome. For a person may dislike something, yet it is good for him, as Allah Almighty said: "But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah knows, while you know not."
