Does divorce occur if a husband divorces his wife while he is in a state of extreme anger, and his wife is in a state of ritual impurity (janabah) and menstruation?

If the husband is aware of what he is saying and is not overcome by his intellect, then his divorce is valid, even if he is extremely angry or in a state of ritual impurity (janabah); this is because janabah does not affect the validity of divorce. The divorce of an angry person is effective unless he has completely lost his mind. As for divorce during menstruation or during a period of purity in which sexual intercourse has occurred, it is an innovative (bid'i) divorce, but it is still valid according to the majority of scholars. Some scholars, like Ibn Taymiyyah, hold the view that an innovative divorce, or the divorce of an angry person, is not valid if his anger is intense, even if he has not completely lost his mind.
