Is it permissible for a menstruating woman to touch the Qur'an?

A menstruating woman is permitted to recite the Quran by heart. However, she is not allowed to touch the Mus'haf directly. Yet, she may touch it with an interposing object if there is a need, such as for reviewing, learning, or teaching. The evidence for this is the Almighty's saying: "None shall touch it save the purified" and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "And let no one touch the Quran except one who is pure."
