The answer

The suhoor (pre-dawn meal) is a sunnah (prophetic tradition) and an act of worship, based on what was narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Eat suhoor, for in suhoor there is blessing." And he said: "The distinction between our fasting and the fasting of the People of the Book is the eating of the suhoor." So, whoever does not eat suhoor commits no sin, but he would have abandoned the sunnah. It is befitting for a Muslim to eat suhoor, even if it is a small amount of food, or some dates, or by drinking milk or water, because in suhoor there is much blessing and good, and it helps the fasting person with their deeds during the day.
