If the heirs of the mother are daughters, brothers, and sisters, then the daughters receive two-thirds due to their plurality. The remaining one-third is divided among the brothers and sisters by ta'sib (agnatic inheritance), with the male receiving the share of two females, provided they are full brothers/sisters or paternal brothers/sisters. As for the maternal brothers/sisters, they inherit nothing due to being excluded by the daughters, and the remainder goes to the closest agnate heir. Rights holders must be given their due from the inheritance, and for their waiver to be valid, they must be mature and of sound judgment. The fatwa stresses that inheritance matters are serious and require being brought before Sharia courts to verify all heirs, wills, and debts before division.
