Is it permissible for me to instruct that the Noble Qur’an, which I wrote with my own hand, be buried with me in my grave, believing that it will protect me from the torment of the grave and be resurrected with me on the Day of Resurrection?

Good deeds benefit their doer, but burying a Mushaf (copy of the Quran) with the deceased is impermissible for three reasons: Firstly, it entails disrespecting the Quran and burying it without necessity. Secondly, the Quran will be soiled by the deceased's bodily fluids, which is forbidden. Thirdly, it involves destroying something from which the living can benefit. Therefore, the Mushaf should be preserved for the living to benefit from it, and the deceased can bequeath it as an endowment.
