The answer

Sodomy is one of the gravest sins and most heinous abominations, a perversion of natural human disposition. Its perpetrator deserves punishment and disgrace. Islamic law has commanded that the one who commits it be killed, based on the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him): "Whoever you find doing the action of the people of Lut, kill the one who does it and the one to whom it is done." As for attributing this to demonic possession (mass), that is a mistaken approach. The treatment for demonic possession is easy through reliance on Allah and adherence to incantations (adhkar) and ruqya. One must also take the necessary measures to get rid of this evil by striving against oneself (mujahadat al-nafs), avoiding the company of the heedless, befriending the righteous, attending gatherings of knowledge and remembrance, occupying one's time with beneficial deeds, and frequently supplicating and humbling oneself before Allah.
