What is the ruling on the actions we take towards our mother, who shows signs of demonic possession and causes us many problems and scandals, such as trying to silence her by putting our hands over her mouth, or loudly mentioning her age, or threatening her? Are these actions considered disobedience (uquq) or associating partners with Allah (shirk)? And how should we deal with her?

You must seek treatment for the mother, and honoring her is an obligation. Endure her harm to the best of your ability and remind her to perform the prayers. It is not permissible to obey her in disobedience to the Creator. She (the daughter) must honor her and obey her and be good to her and guide her towards righteousness. If she (the mother) commands disobedience or hinders from an act of obedience, do not comply with her in that.
