Is it obligatory to tear socks from the sole and toes so that the foot touches the ground of the Holy Kaaba during Hajj or Umrah rituals, and what is the ruling on one who does not do so?

A woman may wear during Ihram (definition) whatever she wishes of shirts, trousers, and socks. Only the niqab and gloves are forbidden for her. Also, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not obligate her to slit her khuff (leather slippers) or socks. Doing so is considered an innovation in religion and a waste of money, and it has no basis in authenticity. The prohibition against wearing khuff and cutting them is specific to a male in Ihram if he does not find sandals.
