What should a wife do with her husband who refuses to take her for 'Umrah and visit Madinah, and does not observe prayer? Is she sinful for not performing these rituals due to his prevention?

If a woman has performed the Hajj of Islam and the Umrah (definition) of Islam, then she is not permitted to go for voluntary Hajj or Umrah, nor to visit the Prophet's Mosque (peace be upon him) in Madinah, except with her husband's permission and in the presence of a mahram (definition). However, if she has not performed the Hajj of Islam or the Umrah of Islam, then she may go out to perform them without her husband's permission, according to the majority of scholars, though seeking his permission is preferable. It is advisable to gently and kindly counsel the husband to abstain from forbidden acts, especially negligence in prayer, and to explain the importance and virtue of Umrah.
