What is the meaning of "al-Muthannah" mentioned in the Prophetic Hadith: "Among the signs (and in another narration, portents) of the Hour is that the wicked will be raised and the good will be debased, speech will be widespread while deeds will be scarce, and people will recite 'al-Muthannah' and none among them will denounce it," and the Prophet's explanation of it as "that which has been written besides the Book of Allah, the Mighty and Exalted"?

The "Muthanna" mentioned by Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-Aas as one of the signs of the Hour refers to the books written by the People of the Book that contradict the Book of Allah, and it does not refer to books of Sunnah and Fiqh. Abdullah ibn Amr encouraged taking what came from the hadith of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, from trustworthy narrators. He himself was among the Companions who narrated the most hadith, so it is inconceivable that he would have prohibited the hadith of the Messenger. The analogy between books of Sunnah and the Muthanna is a false analogy because books of Sunnah are based on the Qur'an and Sunnah, whereas the Muthanna contradicts the Book of Allah.
