The question

Is this Hadith authentic or not: "There will come a time upon my Ummah when prayers are neglected, buildings are glorified, oaths and curses abound, bribery and fornication become widespread, and the Hereafter is sold for the worldly life. If you see that, then flee, flee!"?

The answer

The report narrated by Ibn Abi Al-Dunya in "Al-Azlah" from Ibn Mas'ud, which discusses the signs of the corruption of time and how to attain salvation from it, has a disconnected chain of narration, and therefore it is not authentic.

As for the similar report narrated by Nu'aym bin Hammad in "Al-Fitan", its chain of narration is even weaker, because Ziyad bin Al-Mundhir is accused of lying.
