When may one exit the state of ihram upon returning home outside the Haram area after staying overnight in Muzdalifah and before stoning the Jamrah?

For Hajj, there are two stages of tahallul (exiting the state of ihram): the minor tahallul which permits everything except women, and the major tahallul which permits everything, even women. The minor tahallul is achieved by performing two out of three rituals (stoning, shaving/shortening the hair, and tawaf al-ifadah with sa'y), and the major tahallul is achieved by performing the third. It has also been said that the first tahallul is by stoning (which permits everything except women and hunting), and the second is by tawaf al-ifadah. The first opinion is more cautious. Whoever does not perform what is required for the first tahallul does not permit anything that is forbidden to one in ihram, and staying overnight in Mina is obligatory during the days of stoning.
