What is the ruling on watching Arab television series?

"Series are absolutely forbidden due to their inclusion of forbidden music and musical instruments, women's immodest display (tabarruj), the intermingling of actors and actresses who are not mahram (definition) to each other, and what may follow from that, such as touching and kissing. They negatively affect the viewer by presenting artificial beauty in men and women, leading to attachment and imitation of the actors. It is incumbent upon the Muslim to lower their gaze from forbidden things and to protect themselves and their offspring from the causes of deviation."
