Does covering the hair fall within the conditions of the Muslim woman's dress, that it should be a covering for the entire body, and is it permissible for the husband to prevent his wife from going out without covering her hair?

Scholars have agreed upon the obligation for a woman to cover her entire body and the hair of her head. However, they differed regarding the obligation to cover the face and hands. If the wife does not adhere to the legal hijab, the husband, in his capacity as qawwam (protector/maintainer), must prevent her from going out. He must command his family to obey and forbid them from disobedience. It is recommended to raise them upon faith and to hold study circles and recite the Quran in the home.
