Is the Hadith "The best of God's servants on the Day of Resurrection are those who praise Him" authentic?

The hadith narrated by Al-Tabarani with the wording: "Indeed, the best of Allah's servants on the Day of Judgment are those who praise Him excessively (Al-Hammadoon), then a group from my Ummah will continue to fight those who oppose them from the people of Shirk until they fight the Dajjal," is weak, due to Al-Haythami's well-known statement that it contains narrators who are unknown.

However, another hadith narrated by Ahmad through the chain of Mutarrif from Imran ibn Husayn supports it. This hadith has a sound chain of narration, and although its apparent form is mawqoof (stopped at a Companion), its meaning is marfu' (attributed to the Prophet).

As for the statement of Fudayl ibn Iyad: "Whoever frequently says 'Alhamdulillah' (Praise be to Allah), many will supplicate for him," it has no chain of narration and is not considered reliable.
