What is the ruling on inheriting the Mus'haf and what are the sayings of the scholars regarding it?

The majority of scholars hold the view that it is permissible to bequeath a copy of the Qur’an to the heirs of the deceased, just like the rest of his estate. Some scholars, however, prohibit this. But the correct view is that of the majority, and this is supported by the hadith (definition): "Indeed, among the good deeds and merits that will reach a believer after his death are... a copy of the Qur’an that he bequeathed."
