The answer

Indeed, spending money on building mosques is one of the greatest acts of devotion and an ongoing charity ( Jariyah) whose reward reaches the Muslim after their death. This is based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "When a human being dies, all of his deeds are cut off except for three: an ongoing charity, knowledge from which benefit is derived, or a righteous child who prays for him." And also his saying: "Whoever builds a mosque seeking thereby the face of Allah, Allah will build for him a similar house in Paradise."
