Is contributing to the building of a mosque considered ongoing charity (ṣadaqah jāriyah) for the deceased? Is it a condition that the charity be from the inheritance, or is it permissible for it to be from private wealth? Is helping a sister with a monthly allowance considered charity? Is planting trees and watering them by a father considered ongoing charity that intercedes for him after his death? Does caring for them after his death contribute to the ongoing charity?

It is prescribed for a Muslim to participate in building a mosque, even if with a small contribution, and there is a great reward for doing so, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever builds for Allah a mosque, even if it be like the nest of a sandgrouse for its eggs, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise." It is not a condition that the charity be from an inheritance; rather, any lawful money can be given in charity.

Helping a needy sister is an act of charity and maintaining kinship ties, for he, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Charity given to a poor person is one charity, but given to a relative, it is two: charity and maintaining kinship."

Planting trees and watering them, if people benefit from them, is an ongoing charity, and the one who does it will be rewarded even after their death, for he, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "No Muslim plants a tree or sows a seed, from which a bird, a human, or an animal eats, but that it is a charity for him."
