Does building a minaret for an existing mosque count as an ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah) from which my mother in her grave would benefit?

Giving perpetual charity (Sadaqah (definition) Jariyah) on behalf of a deceased mother is considered an act of righteousness towards her, and the Hadith (definition) of Ibn Abbas is cited as evidence for this. It is preferable for the charity to be of lasting benefit and great reward. If the minaret of the mosque aims to amplify the voice and broadcast the call to prayer (Adhan (definition)), then it is a perpetual charity. However, if it is solely for aesthetic purposes, it is better to choose other projects such as building a mosque, a school, a health center, digging a well, or endowing property for the needy and students of knowledge.
