What was the reason for the Prophet's striking of Aisha, as mentioned in the hadith of Muhammad ibn Qays in "Sahih Muslim" under number (2127), where Aisha said that he pushed her on the chest with a push that pained her, then said: "Do you think that Allah and His Messenger would deal unjustly with you?"

The hadith (definition) does not describe actual, harmful striking. Rather, it refers to a light push or a touch, like an alert, an endearment, or a gentle reproach. This is evident from the continuation of their calm conversation, the fact that Aisha did not cry or show pain, her testimony that the Prophet (peace be upon him) never struck a woman, in addition to his well-known forbearance and mercy.
