The musnad hadiths in Sahih (definition) al-Bukhari are, on the whole, authentic. The criticisms leveled against them are usually from the perspective of hadith (definition) methodology and adherence to Al-Bukhari's conditions, not due to weakness in their texts. As for what Al-Bukhari reported as mu'allaq (suspended) without a complete chain of narration, it has a special ruling. This does not diminish the status of the Sahih, and attributing something to it generally implies its authenticity and soundness. Thus, there is no contradiction between ruling a specific isnad (definition) in Al-Bukhari as weak because it is mu'allaq, and ruling its matn (text) as authentic if its isnad is known from outside Sahih al-Bukhari.
