The answer

It is permissible for a person in a state of minor ritual impurity (al-muhdith) to read the Quran from the by touching it with an interposing barrier that is not sold with it, or by turning its pages with a stick or similar object, or by writing without direct physical contact. Scholars differed regarding touching the Mushaf with one's sleeve. As for the reward for recitation in this situation, its knowledge is with Allah, but the person in a state of minor ritual impurity is considered sinful by the majority of scholars for touching the Mushaf without purification.
