Is it permissible to re-wipe a part that has already been wiped during wudu?

If the required limb has been wiped or washed, then re-wiping or re-washing it is considered extravagance and transgression in purification. Scholars have deemed it among the disliked acts of ablution, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "This is the ablution; whoever exceeds this has done wrong, transgressed, and oppressed." And his saying: "There will be people in this Ummah who transgress in purification and supplication." Scholars disliked exceeding the Prophet's (peace be upon him) action regarding the water for ablution.
