The answer

Attending congregational prayer in the mosque is obligatory for the able-bodied man who hears the call [to prayer]. It is not permissible for him to stay away from it except for a legitimate excuse. If it conflicts with opening the shop, he must close it, unless closing it would entail extraordinary hardship.
