The answer

There is no objection to working in a bank if its transactions comply with Islamic and are free from usurious dealings. However, if it is an interest-based (usurious) bank, then it is impermissible to work there, as it falls under cooperation in sin and aggression. Allah Almighty says: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression." The Messenger of Allah, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, cursed the one who consumes Riba (usury), the one who feeds it, its scribe, and its two witnesses, and he said: "They are all equal." The salary received by an employee in an interest-based bank is unlawful.
