Is visiting a urologist and disclosing to him the practice of the forbidden masturbation due to related health problems considered an open declaration of sin, and what should one do in this situation?

Repentance from masturbation and concealing oneself are obligatory, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "All of my Ummah are forgiven except those who publicize their sins." It is permissible to inform others of a sin to seek advice or a fatwa (definition), or for any benefit that is hoped for, such as seeking treatment, as did the one who had intercourse with his wife during Ramadan (definition). The questioner is advised to abandon the habit and stay away from obsessive thoughts, and to consult a doctor without informing him of the habit if he experiences any pathological symptoms after abandoning it.
