What are the principles of a legitimate visit to the home, and who are the people whom the wife is permitted to receive and admit into the house in the husband's absence? Does this include the husband's paternal uncles, maternal uncles, and their wives?

Men are received by men and women by women, and each is allocated a separate majlis (sitting area). There is no objection to them gathering in one place if Islamic guidelines are observed, such as men sitting in one area and women in another, and women adhering to the hijab (definition) and not speaking in an alluring manner or laughing. A woman is not permitted to admit anyone into the home whom her husband does not wish to enter. As for a non-mahram (definition) man, she is not permitted to admit him if she is alone in the house, unless there are other women present or there is a separate majlis, and all of this is subject to the husband's permission.
