Will a person be held accountable for feelings they cannot conceal and which might lead them to disclose them, even though these feelings are not by their choice despite their attempts to distance themselves from them?

The feelings and thoughts of the self that are pardoned are those which a person cannot help, based on Allah's saying: {Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity} (2:286), and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Indeed, Allah has forgiven my Ummah for what they think in themselves, as long as they do not act upon it or speak of it." As for a woman disclosing her love and attachment to a non-mahram (definition) man, this is not permissible; it is from the whispers of Satan. The one afflicted by this must strive against their self and rid themselves of it, occupy their time with what benefits them, and ask Allah for help. There is no sin upon one who strives against their self and keeps away from what is not permissible; rather, they will be rewarded for it. There is no objection for a Muslim woman to offer herself, or for her guardian to offer her, to a man whose religiosity and character she approves for marriage through permissible Sharia (definition)-approved means.
