The days a menstruating woman misses due to menstruation must be made up, even if years have passed. Whoever delays making them up until the next begins must feed one poor person for each day, unless they were unaware of the prohibition of delaying. If the sick person is unable to make up the days now or if a doctor has informed her that fasting would harm her, there is no sin in delaying the make-up until the excuse is gone, and expiation is not sufficient. If she dies before making them up, her heirs must pay a of feeding one poor person for each day or fast on her behalf. It is permissible to give the fidyah to a single poor person.
