The answer

If the wife was able to make up her fasting days before the next began, she must hasten to do so. If she delayed, despite being able to, until the next Ramadan began, then she must make up the days along with a (expiation) of feeding one poor person for each day. However, if her excuse persisted and she was unable to make up the days until the next Ramadan began, then she only has to make up the days without a fidyah, because she is excused for the delay.
