The answer

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to exert himself in the last ten days of with prayer, recitation, and supplication. He encouraged standing in prayer on Laylat al-Qadr with faith and hope for reward. The best supplication in it is: "O Allah, You are Pardoning and love to pardon, so pardon me." Laylat al-Qadr is usually in the odd nights of the last ten days, and the most likely among them is the twenty-seventh night. Innovations are not permissible in Ramadan or at any other time, and the celebrations that take place on some nights have no basis.
