Is the repentance of a man who falsely accused his wife of adultery and completed the formula of mutual imprecation (mula'anah) accepted, then he regretted it and repented to Allah?

If a man accuses his chaste wife of adultery, he has committed a grave sin for which he deserves cursing and a great punishment, as Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, those who accuse chaste women, unaware [of the evil], believing—are cursed in this world and the Hereafter, and for them is a great punishment."

Nevertheless, Allah is merciful to His servants and accepts their repentance. Therefore, the husband must offer sincere repentance to Allah. The conditions for sincere repentance are to cease the sin, regret it, and resolve never to return to it.
