What is the wisdom behind mentioning "his path" (سبيله) in the singular form in the first verse ("And verily, this is My Straight Path, so follow it, and do not follow [other] paths, for they will diverge you from His path") while "Our paths" (سبلنا) is mentioned in the plural form in the second verse ("And those who strive for Us – We will surely guide them to Our paths")?

Allah unified His path in His saying: "And verily, this is My Straight Path, so follow it, and follow not (other) paths, for they will separate you away from His Path." This is because what is intended here are the different religions and paths that follow whims, for the truth is one. And He pluralized His path in His saying: "And those who strive in Us – We will surely guide them to Our ways." This is because the path of truth branches into various different knowledge, deeds, sayings, and many gates of good ways and their objectives.
