The answer

The Qur'an is an honor for Quraysh because it was revealed in their language and they are the people who understand it best. Therefore, they ought to be the people who adhere most uprightly to it. Their honor is also indicated by the Hadith: "This matter (leadership) belongs to Quraysh; no one disputes them in it except that Allah the Almighty will cast him down on his face, as long as they uphold the religion." It was also said that "dhikr" (ذكر) here means a reminder for them.
